Insulator: conductor insulation is fixed to and suspended in the tower on the object. Transmission line insulators are commonly used: disk-shaped porcelain insulators, disc-shaped glass insulators, Rod Composite Insulator. 
 (1) disk-shaped porcelain insulator: porcelain insulators made, there is a high rate of degradation, the need to detect the zero value, maintenance workload. Encountered lightning and flashover accident-prone off the string, has gradually been eliminated. 
 (2) disk-shaped glass insulators: blew a zero value, but blew rate is very low (usually the very few). Maintenance without detection, blew glass pieces in case of mechanical strength after the residual damage still pull up more than 80, able to ensure the safe operation of the line. Encountered lightning and flashover does not occur off the string accident. In the Ⅰ, Ⅱ grade polluted area has been widely used. 
 (3) Rod Composite Insulators: with anti-pollution flashover performance, light weight, high mechanical strength, low maintenance, etc., in the polluted area and above grade Ⅲ has been widely used. http://www.xingwangdianci.cn
