Barium in steel high temperature atmosphere effectively reduce the vapor pressure of calcium, increasing calcium solubility in the liquid steel. Compared with calcium alloy, silicon barium calcium alloy as calcium source added to the molten steel, the added calcium even half the amount of added calcium alloy, molten steel is about twice the calcium content of calcium alloy, calcium significantly increased in molten steel.
