Cation resin is first pretreated with saturated brine, whichever is approximately equal to twice the volume of the resin to be treated, the resin placed in saline solution soak for 18-20 hours and then exhausted brine, rinse with water wash, make discharge without water yellow; then followed after 2% -4% NaOH solution, and the same amount in which to soak for 2-4 hours (or for a small flow cleaning), exhausted lye, drain water wash resin until close neutral. Finally, 5% HCL solution, the amount is also the same as above, soak for 4-8 hours, exhausted acid, with water rafting to neutral stand.
