| Authors Chess Set. This is a Literary Authors chess set. It is a chess board with custom pieces and with storage for the pieces below the board. The Chess Board The chess board is a storage box with a board as its cover. The pieces can be stored inside. The box measures 15 inches by 15 inches by 3 inches high. The lid removes to be placed on a table and played on separately. The chess pieces store in a flocked partitioned interior section. The box is walnut. It is extremely important that the quality of workmanship on this board be very high. The playing surface is a standard chess board in red and black with 1. 5 inch squares. This example board has laser engraving of logos and decoration. We do not want that decoration. For production, we can supply a sample of the existing board / storage box. The Chess Pieces This set includes 16 Chess Pieces (8 in white and 8 in black) which are custom made resin cast figures with weighted bottoms. King 3. 75 inches tall Queen 3. 25 inches tall Bishop 3. 00 inches tall Knight 2. 75 inches tall Rook 2. 50 inches tall Pawn 2. 00 inches tall We will provide the masters for these pieces. Option 1. Option 1 has both white and black pieces cast from the same molds. Thus, both sides are identical except for color. In Option 1, there are six different pieces: King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn. Option 2. Option 2 has different white and black pieces cast from different molds. The pawns (8 on each side) are still identical. In Option 2, there are 11 different pieces. Two Kings, Two Queens, Two Bishops, Two Knights, Two Rooks, and one Pawn. The Pawn, 2 inches tall. The King (Mark Twain) 3. 75 inches tall. |
